About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced 2D and cel animation expert to collaborate on a 10-minute animated short film. This dark comedy with sci-fi elements aims to showcase a unique style inspired by popular adult animated series. The project offers creative freedom, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work closely with the writer/artist. The animation style will either follow classic American animation or a whimsical, quirky approach. This project is ideal for an animator looking to contribute to a distinctive portfolio piece.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the writer/artist on refining character designs and storyboards
- Develop and implement animation style based on project vision
- Create high-quality 2D/cel animations for a 10-minute short film
- Work closely with the writer to ensure the animation aligns with the script and creative vision
Requirements
- Proven expertise in 2D and cel animation techniques
- Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create adult-oriented animated content
- Proficiency in relevant animation software and tools
- Experience with various animation styles, particularly classic American animation and quirky, whimsical approaches
