About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented 2D animator for a project. This short animated film will depict an elderly man's reflections on his life journey with his wife. The project requires a skilled animator who can bring this poignant narrative to life in a captivating visual style. This is a remote, single-job assignment expected to last over a week, with a specific delivery deadline.

Responsibilities:

• Create 2D animations that effectively convey the emotional narrative of the story
• Develop character designs and backgrounds that suit the film's theme and style
• Animate characters and scenes to portray the elderly man's life reflections
• Collaborate with the writer to ensure the animation aligns with the narrative vision
• Implement visual storytelling techniques to enhance the emotional impact of the film

Requirements

• Proven experience in 2D animation, particularly in creating narrative-driven content
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony)
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to convey emotions through animation
• Excellent understanding of character movement, expressions, and timing
• Ability to adapt to specific animation styles as requested
