Position Overview:
UN/COMMON Agency is a D2C e-commerce agency dedicated to connecting the dots between brands and consumers through unconventional thinking and profit-driven results. We are committed to fixing the broken agency model by delivering exceptional services that drive brand success.
We are looking for a Fractional HR Generalist and Recruiter to oversee all HR Generalist duties while leading recruitment efforts across the agency. This role requires someone with 4-5 years of HR experience in fast-paced, service-based industries. You’ll work closely with department heads to ensure efficient HR management, streamline recruitment, and develop policies that support both domestic and international teams.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all Human Resources responsibilities, including performance reviews and employee relations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in employment law, including FMLA, COBRA, and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Ensure the company complies with local, state, federal, and international labor laws and regulations.
- Utilize Rippling HRIS to manage employee data, payroll, and other HR operations.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the HR budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for recruitment, employee benefits, training, and other HR programs.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure seamless transitions.
- Administer and oversee employee benefits programs.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, keeping them updated to align with local and international employment laws.
- Collaborate with department heads to create reliance documentation across departments, ensuring clear guidance and compliance.
Recruitment Responsibilties:
- Oversee recruitment efforts using Workable as the ATS, ensuring a clear, structured process from sourcing to offer acceptance.
- Actively engage in headhunting for critical roles, particularly using LinkedIn Recruiter for identifying top talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to refine job descriptions, recruitment workflows, and candidate screening processes.
- Ensure efficient management of inbound applications and oversee the entire qualification process.
- Track recruitment metrics and suggest improvements to reduce time-to-hire and improve candidate quality.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience in human resources and recruitment roles, preferably within digital or software agencies.
- Proven experience as the sole HR professional for a company with 50+ employees.
- Experience in HR budget management, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimizing costs for HR programs and employee benefits.
- Strong experience working with our HRIS, Rippling.
- Proven experience with performance management systems, including conducting reviews, developing improvement plans, and coaching managers on feedback and development.
- Familiarity with Workable ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing and managing candidates.
- Proven experience managing HR for both domestic and international teams.
- Expertise in policy development, benefits administration, and handling onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience thriving in environments that require self-motivation and independent decision-making.
- Availability to dedicate 10-15 hours per week and ability to start within two weeks.

- Proficiency in HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- A proactive mindset with the ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs is a plus.
