Summary of Position:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud & Data DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and robust data pipelines. You will collaborate closely with our development and data teams to ensure efficient data processing, seamless integration, and reliable deployment processes. This role demands strong technical expertise in both cloud infrastructure management and data pipeline development, along with a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud DevOps:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes
- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and performance
- Development of DevOps tooling used for production code, including both creation of new services as well as integration and operation of 3rd party
- Infrastructure-as-code development including Terraform and Ansible
- High proficiency to code in multiple languages with experience using Java, .NET, Python, Go, etc.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure uptime
- Collaborate with the software development team to ensure smooth deployments and integration of new features
- Manage version control, code repositories, and ensure seamless integration across environments
- Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure the system's high availability
Data DevOps:
- Design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines to process and transform large datasets from multiple sources
- Develop and maintain a Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for efficient data processing and analytics
- Use Apache Airflow to create, manage, and monitor complex data workflows and DAGs
- Develop and manage AWS Glue jobs to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks
- Manage data storage solutions such as S3, ensuring efficient and secure data access
- Implement robust data validation, monitoring, and quality assurance processes
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Experiment with new technologies and methodologies to improve deployment processes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Cloud and Data DevOps practices and deployment
- Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems and integrate them into the cloud infrastructure
The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 plus benefits. This is our target compensation range is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience and location. As you go through our interview process, your recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an annual bonus plan to get you excited about your future at EverService.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure management
- 4+ years of experience in AI/ML development and deployment
- Proficient in CI/CD tools (e.g., Concourse CI, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., AWS Glue, Apache Airflow)
- Familiarity with data storage solutions like S3 and data processing architectures
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and develop data-driven solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
