Our Home is seeking a skilled EDI Analyst to primarily support our order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders and invoices with our trading partners. In this role, you will work closely with the EDI Manager, customer service, and the accounts receivable team, monitoring EDI transactions, resolving errors, assisting with partner onboarding, and contributing to system maintenance and optimization.
Please note: This is a contract role for 6 months but could become a broader full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A solid understanding of EDI standards and document types.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with EDI platforms (SPS Commerce) and ERP systems (NetSuite).
- A growth mindset and an initiative-taking approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Monitor EDI transactions in NetSuite, SPS Commerce, and customer portals, focusing on customer order, fulfillment, and invoice documents, to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Support onboarding of new trading partners.
- Perform data quality checks on orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and prevent payment delays.
- Analyze EDI transactions for errors, identify root causes, and support the implementation of solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to resolve errors and inquiries.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of our EDI processes.
- Maintain documentation of EDI processes.
- Ensure the security of EDI data and systems.
- Triage and escalate complex issues to the EDI Manager.
Requirements
- 4+ combined years supporting EDI, Customer Service, or Supply Chain operations, with a minimum of 1 year dedicated to EDI.
- Understanding of EDI standards and document types related to orders (e.g., 850, 856) and invoices (810), and their application in business processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and EDI integration principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software used for data tracking and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Growth mindset, a willingness to learn new technologies, and an aptitude for problem-solving and adapting to new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience with SPS Commerce, NetSuite, and 3PL (third party logistics) integrations.
- Familiarity with customer portals such as Walmart’s RetailLink, Kroger’s Lavante, and Amazon’s Vendor Central.
- Experience working for a food manufacturer.
