Acentra is seeking at least two EAP Consultants (one Overnight AND one Day Shift) (Remote U.S.) to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The EAP Consultant performs clinical telephonic assessments and consultations, delivers comprehensive referrals, and ensures diligent follow-up for managers, employees, and their family members covered by the Employee Assistance Program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts both routine and urgent clinical risk assessments, offering expert consultations, short-term issue resolution, and comprehensive referral services for all members seeking assistance.
- Provides management consultation services to various levels of management and human resources within our broad customer base. The EAP Consultant must demonstrate proficiency in assessing a wide spectrum of workplace issues and devising suitable action plans, remaining well-versed in essential workplace legislations like ADA, DOT, Sexual Harassment, and Duty to Warn.
- Display a comprehensive understanding of the organization's customer base, staying updated on issues affecting customers from both legislative and customer-specific standpoints.
- Engage in additional assigned duties to support internal and external customers in achieving the EAP department's goals.
PLEASE NOTE: There are at least two different roles available with different work Schedules:
** Work Schedule Option #1 - Overnights: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Eastern - Monday - Friday on a rotating schedule, totaling 80 hours over a two-week pay period with:
Week 1: Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday **
OR
** Work Schedule Option #2 - Days: Noon - 8:30 PM Eastern - Monday - Friday, including rotating weekends totaling 40 hours per week.

Requirements
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of employment in the mental health field, where the assessment of mental illness and substance abuse was a key function.
- Must have knowledge of confidentiality laws and their exceptions.
- Understand the concept of the dual client.
- Must have clinical skills to perform a risk assessment and develop an action plan that meets the client's needs.
- Knowledge of chemical dependency, indicators of risk associated with withdrawal, and appropriate treatment modalities.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Possess an Independent license.
- Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
- EAP experience (2+ years preferred).
- Some call center experience.
- The consultant should understand the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) process and be able to develop an action plan to address immediate customer needs.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm in a crisis.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, exercise judgment, and make critical decisions.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in an environment that requires a team effort.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $53,856 - $69,000 annually.
“Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
