Get Logistics, a leading national drayage broker for BCO's and freight forwarders, is seeking a motivated and experienced individual for the position of Drayage Business Development. As a part of our dynamic team, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain strong business relationships with freight forwarders, ensuring the smooth movement of shipments throughout the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential freight forwarding companies to expand the company's client base.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through regular communication and visits.
  • Negotiate rates and contractual terms with clients and prospects to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with clients, operations teams, and drayage providers to create efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing the company's drayage capabilities and solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales w
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building successful business relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to travel, as required, to meet with clients. Mostly local or overnight trips.
