We are looking for a Director, Project Management, PL Solutions Lead to join our A-team (hybrid*/remote). As a Director, Project Management, PL Solutions Lead at Allucent, you are responsible for overseeing and optimizing our resource allocation processes, ensuring that projects are adequately staffed with the right talent and supporting the overall strategic goals of the company. This role may manage Project Support, Project Managers (PMs) and/or Associate Project Directors and support them in the execution of tasks and/or projects to ensure service delivery as per the requirements, high standard of quality and within contractual budget and timelines.

The Director, Project Management, PL Solutions Lead is actively involved in department and CTO related procedures, systems, and deliverables in order to achieve a high performing team, and provide quality in the project specific service deliverables, and as a result, contributes to Allucent reputation and growth.

The Director, Project Management, PL Solutions Lead drives the implementation of new services and approaches. The Director, Project Management, PL Solutions Lead drives quality improvement activities as a result of audits / inspections / quality incidents / project issues / metrics / key performance indicators (KPIs) / trends observed and may support business development activities and CTO cross department initiatives.

The Director, Project Management, PL Solutions Lead may act as Project Director (PD) on project(s) in order to maintain on the job and system knowledge and experience following Allucent SOPs, Policies, and Work Instructions (WIs).

In this role your key tasks will include:

  • Resource Allocation and Planning:  Assign available staff to projects based on their skills, experience, and availability; work with project managers to determine resource requirements for current and upcoming projects; forecast future team capacity and staffing needs; monitor employee utilization, workload, and overtime hours
  • Talent Management:  Identify staffing gaps and initiate hiring processes when needed; collaborate with HR on recruitment, training, and employee development initiatives; maintain a database of freelancers and contractors for temporary staffing needs; participate in the hiring process, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates, as needed
  • Performance Management: Accountable for the performance of direct reports. The DPM achieves this by overseeing the KPIs for their studies, identifying potential high-risk areas and assisting in development of mitigation strategies
  • Project Support: Provide ongoing resource management support to project managers; help resolve resource conflicts and allocation issues; monitor project progress and resource performance
  • Strategic Planning:  Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies aligned with business goals; analyze resource utilization data to optimize allocation and improve efficiency; stay informed about labor laws and trends in resource management
  • Stakeholder Management: Conduct regular meetings with project managers and other stakeholders; build and maintain relationships with department heads and team leaders; act as a trusted advisor on recruitment and resourcing matters
  • Process Improvement: Streamline resourcing processes and implement monitoring systems; document processes and maintain accurate records; suggest and implement improvements to enhance resource management effectiveness
  • Other responsibilities as required

Requirements

To be successful you will possess:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in life science, healthcare and/or business degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of combined PM, PD, Resourcing and Line Management experience.
  • Expert knowledge of ICH-GCP(R2), data and patient privacy practices, and applicable (local) regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, applications and operating systems, including 21 CFR Part 11 and data privacy (HIPAA/GDPR).
  • Extensive clinical trial experience, with at least 5 years of direct project/program management experience.
  • Expertise with clinical trial delivery processes enabling the application of a data driven approach to advance clinical trial delivery solutions.
  • Financial and business acumen, administrative excellence, and analytical skills.
  • Strong experience managing all phases of global, full-service clinical trial delivery lifecycles (Start-up, Maintenance, Close-out).
