Role Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director, Program Management Office is a senior-level position responsible for driving the program management office, with a focus on business partnership with product and engineering. In this role, you will help set up the company’s first PMO office, and work across the company to ensure its projects are aligned with and meeting strategic objectives.
Renew Home has ambitious growth targets and is looking for an experienced leader to help ensure progress towards these objectives. A passion for our missions will be a value add, as well as a proven track record working with cross functional teams to deliver results.
What You Will Do
- Support the VP in standing up a PMO office at Renew Home, building out the process, documentation and tools to support decision making and project tracking across the company.
- Have strong business acumen and be a strong business partner to cross functional teams, onboarding them to the PMO’s objective and framework, helping teams evaluate business feasibility / strategic alignment of new initiatives to achieve success in the decision making process.
- Monitor key tasks and priorities for various projects, to ensure successful execution and transparency to project leads and senior management regarding the status of projects; help the team to identify any risks to project timelines of deliverables, and any cross project dependencies.
- Support senior executives in creating materials to share company wide progress with our Board and Investors.
- Identify gaps in skills, capabilities or processes across the company and help to define plans to remedy those gaps. Often requiring the PMO team to step in to fill gaps in the short term.
- Identify areas of misalignment across teams, and facilitate discussions across stakeholders to drive alignment.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in PMO, strategy, management consulting, or similar fields
- Experience in energy, tech, start ups a plus
- Strong collaboration skills and proven track record working across cross-functional teams
- Experience working with product teams and engineers
- Team player and builder - leads by example and creates an inclusive environment, managing people with a human touch to create a great place to work that inspires and motivates everyone
- Ability to work closely with product and engineering teams, as well as business development, commercial, marketing, policy, finance and data analytics.
- Excellent ability to understand and translate complex ideas for diverse stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, resourcefulness, integrity, and an eagerness to take responsibility for the continuous improvement of processes and results
- Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines
