nutpods manufactures plant based, dairy-free coffee creamers and adjacent products for coffee lovers nationwide. Now the #2 plant-based creamer brand nationwide across retail and online channels, nutpods has fostered a cult following and has exciting plans for growth in the coming years. With a small and mighty team of 35 people, nutpods is looking for eager, enthusiastic, and experienced candidates for this important role.
Position Summary:
The Director of Sales, Business Development position is a critical leadership role within the organization. This professional will be responsible for:
- Leading the development, commercialization and sales efforts for the company with a primary focus on developing the club channel.
- Collaborating with multiple functions internally and identify/manage external partners associated with business development needs.
- Using data and information to help the organization make sound business decisions.
- Building compelling data driven presentations/stories that can be leveraged by the organization to develop the brand and marketing activity within the Club channel.
Requirements
- Trade Management: Capable of managing a specified trade budget while optimizing investment dollars with accounts. Ability to manage all trade inputs and outputs while summarizing/synthesizing information for the organization.
- Strategic + Creative Problem Solving: Ability to define the issue/opportunity, gather the facts, develop the range of solutions, sort out the strengths and limitations, and arrive at a recommendation that best meets the needs of the business.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage project from start to finish, including coordinating activities across multiple functional groups with non-direct reporting resources.
- Budget Management: Proven ability to effectively manage trade spend/selling expense budgets through a well-defined set of processes and methods.
- Selling Story Development: Proven ability to proactively identify business opportunities/issues; mine the data, define the insights and build fact-based selling tools that support communication to customers.
- Business Relationships: Must have strong "people" skills, ability to develop strong internal and external relationships, and bring to bear your influence across our organization.
- Written and Verbal Communication: Highly developed written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate status, plans, issues, and updates effectively, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
- Organization and Execution: Highly organized; proven ability to effectively plan and execute in order to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
- Positive, supportive attitude.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- BA/BS Degree preferred in related field (Business or Finance).
- Initiative: Self-starter who identifies and acts on opportunities to accelerate results.
- Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Data: Familiarity with IRI/Nielsen, SPINs, 84.51°
