FULL-TIME or FRACTIONAL, REMOTE
At Indiewalls, we undertake the boldest commercial art projects across the country, partnering with independent artists to transform spaces. Our clients include renowned brands like Amazon, Virgin Cruise Lines, and Ritz Carlton. We source prints for guest rooms, murals for buildings, and monumental sculptures for cruise ships.
We seek a highly skilled Director of Marketing with a relentless focus on driving top-of-the-funnel growth. The ideal candidate is both a marketing strategist and a brand positioning enthusiast.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive top-of-the-funnel sales growth by expanding opportunities with existing clients and establishing new client relationships.
- Set clear, achievable targets and goals, keeping the team focused on attaining them.
- Analyze marketing data to refine marketing strategies and drive results.
- Pinpoint, analyze, and internalize our target clients, determining what marketing and branding efforts will capture their attention, both digitally and physically.
- Develop and lead a marketing strategy that disseminates the Indiewalls brand effectively.
- Oversee execution of 10-15 events per year, including conferences, trade shows, and bespoke client entertainment.
- Manage a team of two marketing managers—one focused on events and physical collateral, the other on digital marketing.
- Direct the creation and distribution of video content.
- Strategize and edit content and copy for email marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to devise go-to-market strategies for physical collateral (client gifts, sample kits, marketing material etc) and digital collateral.
MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS:
- Within the first three months, outline your vision for driving top-of-the-funnel growth and create an execution plan. This plan should evolve over time.
- Achieve overall pipeline growth directly attributable to the marketing team.
- Set and maintain consistent and appropriate brand communication.
- Maintain high levels of effectiveness, cohesion, and morale both within the marketing team and between the marketing team and other teams at Indiewalls
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in marketing.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Deep understanding of branding (prior branding experience not required).
- Experience in the fine art industry, commercial design community, or creative industry experience
- 2+ yrs experience managing a marketing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of marketing processes and techniques.
- Ability to travel 1 to 2 times per quarter.
