As the Director of Learning Technology Delivery, you are a strategic leader who drives innovation in online learning experiences. You combine expertise in educational technology with strong organizational leadership to advance student success through effective technology learning solutions. Your strategic scope covers the entire online learning experience from course design through implementation. You work directly with department leaders to drive innovation in online learning while maintaining strong technical standards. You lead academic technology initiatives and collaborate with various departments to guide learning technology strategies that meet the changing technical needs of online learning environments in higher education. Working closely with college leadership, you guide strategic initiatives to evaluate, deploy, and promote technology to support teaching and learning using best practices in course design. As the director, you lead a team responsible for creating and supporting courses that deliver a connected, accessible, and high-quality experience in the learning management system.

Compensation
ACE is committed to paying a competitive wage while staying true to our mission of maintaining high quality, affordable programs for our students. The starting salary range for this position is $100,000 plus all full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus. Offers vary depending on education, prior experience, and expertise being applied to the role.

Day to Day Responsibilities
In this role you will wear different hats, but your skills will be especially essential in the following areas:
- Ensures alignment between learning technology initiatives and college strategic goals.
- Leads strategic planning and implementation of innovative learning technologies and digital tools.
- Develops strategic responses to emerging trends in educational technology and online learning.
- Creates a culture of technical excellence and innovation in online learning.
- Champions continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics and course performance metrics.
- Leads end-to-end project management of course production initiatives by leveraging project management software to arrange timelines, coordinate deliverables, and ensure successful content publication while maintaining communication with department stakeholders on project status and milestones.
- Oversees multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines to deliver high-quality courses.
- Contributes to the development and production of student-facing learning design assets as needed, ensuring content remains engaging and effective.
- Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) checks of all student-facing learning design assets to ensure alignment with college standards, content accuracy, and user experience fulfillment.
- Ensure learning design assets comply with industry standards, best practices, and internal branding and style guidelines.
- Ensure courses are accessible, engaging, and designed to meet students' needs through effective use of multimedia, interactive features, and technology.
- Lead efforts to improve and optimize the use of the LMS, ensuring its capabilities are fully leveraged for instructors and students.
- Ensure learning technologies are accessible, user-friendly, and support learner engagement.
- Manage the lifecycle of learning technology products, including purchasing, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- Responsible for the overall implementation and ongoing maintenance of learning technologies.
- Guide the configuration, customization, and integration of learning technology tools and systems to meet the needs of learner success.
- Establishes standards for technical quality and system optimization across the LMS and all 3rd party learning tools.
- Builds strong relationships with faculty, staff, and students to understand their needs and gather feedback on learning technology initiatives.
- Collaborates with academic departments to evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies that enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborates with various college departments to effectively integrate learner engagement results with various systems.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors and industry partners.
- Provides leadership and mentoring to direct reports, fostering innovation and strategic thinking across all team levels.
- Foster a positive and committed team culture that aligns with the college and department goals and promotes excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and a collaborative spirit in all interactions, both with internal teams and external partners.
- Creates comprehensive operational procedures that ensure efficient resource utilization and project delivery.
- Manages production budget across learning design and products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in education, technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience, including managing cross-functional teams.
- 5+ years of experience in learning technology-related experience.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Proven experience leading online learning initiatives in an academic setting.
- Advanced experience with learning management systems (LMS) and integrated educational technologies.
- Strong record of strategic planning and successful project management
- Advanced English skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage a results-oriented team achieving results.
