Digital Operations Associate

Movement Labs is a not-for-profit movement incubator and the leading SMS political consultancy supporting progressives and grassroots activists nationwide. Our clients span both establishment and movement efforts, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to Black Lives Matter. Since 2017, we've sent more than 500 million text messages to support grassroots organizing, recruit candidates to run for office, and help those candidates win.

Movement Labs focuses on finding new ways to use technology and an army of volunteers to fill gaps and achieve tangible outcomes to build power for marginalized communities and progressive movements. We rapidly incubate ideas, train volunteers and deploy teams for our clients. Our projects focus on experimenting and sharing learnings for growth optimization and improved communications strategies.

We’re seeking a talented Operations Associate to join the team that executes our digital campaigns. You will support our nationwide network of volunteer texters, helping them answer questions from voters. You’ll build campaigns in Spoke and monitor our peer-to-peer texting platform, ensuring a reliable user experience for our volunteers. Responsibilities:

• Monitor ongoing texting in Spoke to ensure timely execution of our campaigns.
• Build texting campaigns in the Spoke platform, coordinating with Sales and Programs to maintain timelines.
• Work to stop facism and protect rights for all.
• Support volunteer texters. Answer questions about ongoing campaigns and how to use Spoke.
• Constantly look for ways to make our processes more efficient without sacrificing quality.
• Assist in the process development and rollout of new digital services, such as digital ads, email, etc.

Requirements

• Passion for uplifting the work of progressive activists, organizations and candidates
• Demonstrated detail orientation
• High technical competence with data and spreadsheets
• An understanding of campaigns and organizing
• Ability to communicate clearly, directly, and patiently
• Comfort using peer-to-peer texting programs and digital organizing tools
• Ability to work independently and regularly communicate status updates
• Remote experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred

• This role is a cycle-based hire through November, but we hope to find opportunities to extend where possible. 
• This position is not eligible for the collective bargaining unit.
