Movement Labs is a movement incubator and the leading peer-to-peer text political consultancy supporting progressives and grassroots activists nationwide. Our clients span both establishment and movement efforts, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to Black Lives Matter. Your work will help mobilize 100,000 votes in the top battleground states to stop Donald Trump and recruit thousands of candidates for 100,000 elections that go uncontested every year.
We’re seeking a Deputy Client Director for Political Experiments. As Deputy Client Director, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale field experiments, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), ensuring the successful execution of these programs to stop Donald Trump.
Responsibilities:
Running Client Field Experiments:
- Design and implement large-scale RCTs in collaboration with clients and the Movement Labs Experiments team, ensuring rigorous methodology and execution.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to clients, helping them understand the impact and value of the experiments.
- With guidance from team leadership, continually update estimates of the potential costs, revenues, and net vote impacts associated with each experiment
Manage Campaigns & Triage Client Concerns:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, promptly addressing their concerns and inquiries.
- Resolve client issues and challenges in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt resolution of client concerns.
- Facilitate the campaign handoff process to the Operations team, ensuring all necessary information is communicated accurately.
Client Relationship Management & CRM Oversight:
- Ensure client information in our CRM is comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date for owned clients.
- Present and demonstrate our services, showcasing their value and benefits to address inbound prospects' specific requirements.
- Negotiate and reach contractual agreements with inbound prospects, ensuring a smooth transition into the client management workflow.
Messaging and Universe Creation Oversight:
- Work closely with clients and senior sales teams to develop initial ideas around scripts and audience targeting.
- Oversee the creation and development of compelling and impactful messaging strategies that align with clients' goals.
- Ensure the definition of target audiences to ensure the largest and most impactful targeting.
Requirements:
- Burning desire to crush fascism.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Communications, Business) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Client Manager, Account Manager, or a related role in the political, advocacy, technology, or similar industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and deliver compelling presentations.
- Strong understanding of political campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and the progressive landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to identify revenue growth opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant tools.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of SMS/texting services and related platforms
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary of $70,000-$85,000 as part of a transparent salary structure with clear levels of advancement.

- This role is a cycle-based hire through November, but we hope to find opportunities to extend where possible.
- This position is eligible for the collective bargaining unit.
