Full Job Description
Dentaly.org is a dental information website that offers information about dental procedures, services, and products. They strongly believe that everyone should have access to valuable information about oral health, which is why they provide their readers with free, high-quality resources.
Since its creation in France in 2014, Dentaly.org has achieved tremendous growth, expanding to five new markets and achieving double-digit growth. Their website is now available in the UK, the US, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, and they are continuously exploring opportunities for further expansion to reach a larger audience.
Dentaly.org's clients and partners are dental services and product providers such as clinics, dental insurance companies, braces manufacturers, and dental product companies like those providing teeth whitening and electric toothbrushes. Dentaly.org provides a platform that helps their clients and partners increase their sales by referring them to prospects and customers through lead generation and affiliations. Their vision is to become the worldwide dental information resource that everyone knows and trusts!
At Dentaly.org, the team operates completely remotely, with each team member taking charge of their own market or project. Don't let their remote setup fool you - even though they expect results, the atmosphere among team members remains friendly and informal, fostering a sense of collaboration. If you want to become a part of this team - read on!
Dentaly.org is currently looking for a Growth and Operations Manager to manage the team and help grow the business through optimising partnerships, exploring new sources of traffic, and maintaining their budget. The ideal candidate will be a new “engine for the company” and bring fresh ideas to improve traffic, SEO, and monetize the site.
More specifically, you will:
- Manage a team of 8 managers (including 5 country managers, 1 dental tourism product manager, 1 developer, and 1 designer) who are responsible for their own team of freelance writers, editors, and assistants. As the company continues to grow, there may be possibilities for expansion, including the management of an increased number of team members across various locations or the potential recruitment of an additional project manager
- Take ownership of the site's Profit and Loss (P&L) management, leading the team to optimize existing partnerships, proactively seek out new partners, and actively participate in negotiating and finalizing strategic affiliation and lead generation agreements. This will entail both supporting and personally engaging in negotiations and deal closures, as well as independently identifying new opportunities, negotiating terms, and successfully securing new partnerships
- Improve Dentaly.org in 6 countries by creating a content strategy to increase traffic, building the SEO strategy together with the SEO Manager and country managers, and enhancing the team to explore new sources of traffic (paid ad campaigns, social media, email marketing), while also coordinating site updates and improvements.
- Work closely with the CEO to direct and implement effective business strategies, manage budgets and organizational structures, and play a fundamental role in shaping the future of the company
- Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget and track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed
- Plan financial milestones, allocate capital, and ensure adherence to set targets, managing the team to reach traffic and revenue targets, and developing new affiliates and lead generation deals
- Work closely with the SEO department to oversee on-page and off-page SEO implementation, and oversee content, design, social media, PPC, and other marketing activities
- Develop new sources of traffic (such as social media, YouTube, and ads)
The onboarding process will involve meeting with the co-founders and the team, gaining insights into the business and its operations, reviewing standard operating procedures and handover documents, assessing the current situation of the company, and finally, collaborating with the founders to develop and implement strategies for effective management of the operations. The CEO will be available to provide support and hold weekly check-in calls. However, the ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills and be able to work independently.
This is a full-time role. The working hours for this position are flexible and typically fall between 8 AM to 8 PM. However, since the team is mostly based in Europe, you’ll need to have some overlap with European working hours. Additionally, an overlap of at least 3-4 hours with Thailand is required to allow for effective communication with the CEO. As a result, a minimum of 3-4 hours of work during European morning time will be necessary.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you need:
- 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, working for a website/mobile app or startup, with direct management of a team of 3 to 10 people
- 2-3 years of experience in B2B business development (reaching out to new partners, negotiating and closing deals) or managing a sales team
- Good understanding of standard and current SEO practices
- Good understanding of affiliation and leads generation
- Fluency in English and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using Google Sheets
Brownie points for:
- Speaking additional languages aside from English (French, Italian, Spanish, German)
- Experience in developing alternative sources of traffic such as YouTube channels, paid ads, and social media
- A degree in management, business & marketing or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in creating content, conducting keyword research, and implementing backlinking strategies
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends
- SEO experience for a medical information website
- Experience in implementing Google E-A-T guidelines
- Skills in paid search engine marketing, website user experience, and conversion optimisation
The ideal candidate should possess dynamic leadership skills while being humble, with a strong analytical mindset and creativity to generate innovative business ideas. Additionally, they should be highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. A fun and team-spirited attitude would be a bonus.
