Full Job Description
Digital Scientists is seeking a full time Data Integration Architect to work remotely within the United States.
You’ll be part of a collaborative data strategy team — working together with our dispersed design, development, and product management teams to develop and implement a comprehensive data integration strategy using SAP, QLIK ETL tools, and Snowflake. This role not only encompasses technical execution but also strategic planning on how data is organized, processed, and maintained within Snowflake to support our client business objectives.
At Digital Scientists, we solve data integration challenges in a collaborative environment with daily stand-ups and pair programming, while also balancing time to work independently. Digital Scientists is a growing firm, adding architects to our team who want to work with a variety of clients to build customized data architectures.
Job Duties
- Design and implement ETL processes using QLIK to extract data from SAP systems and load into Snowflake.
- Assess and understand existing data structures in SAP to determine optimal methods for data transfer and transformation for system integration purposes.
- Develop strategies to replicate and maintain critical business logic from SAP in Snowflake, using views and other functionalities to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define data needs and implement solutions that support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in the areas of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.
- Monitor system performance post-implementation and iterate on the configuration to optimize data processing and storage..
- Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
- Educate staff members through training and individual support.
- Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate across time zones remotely via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences where required
- Work directly with clients to achieve the best results for their projects
Requirements
- Extensive experience with SAP systems and data structures.
- Proficient in using ETL and ELT tools such as QLIK and Stitch.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake cloud data warehousing and its integration points.
- Experience in data architecture and database management.
- Familiarity with data security and best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in data integration, data engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing large datasets and designing scalable data architectures.
