Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Build and optimize database infrastructure for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Develop and implement data quality and validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor and optimize data processing and query performance to ensure efficient and reliable data access.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new data sources and transform raw data into meaningful insights.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with data modeling and schema design.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Java).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
- Working knowledge of data management and integration tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.
