Cybersecurity Engineer - Training Lab Creator

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cutting-edge training labs that simulate real-world cyber threats and scenarios.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer - Training Lab Creator, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to develop lab content and scenarios that align with industry best practices and the latest cybersecurity trends. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of cybersecurity tools and technologies to create immersive and realistic training environments.

The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge and hands-on experience working with and configuring cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques in a test lab or training context. You must possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy virtualized training environments that replicate real-world cyber threats and scenarios.
• Create and maintain lab content and scenarios that cover various cybersecurity domains such as network security, ethical hacking, incident response, and secure coding.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training objectives and develop lab exercises that align with industry best practices and current cybersecurity trends.
• Evaluate and integrate new cybersecurity tools and technologies into training labs to ensure relevance and currency.
• Monitor and update lab infrastructure to maintain optimal performance and availability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to instructors and students using the training labs.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure lab functionality, accuracy, and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in cybersecurity technologies, tools, and practices.
• Contribute to the development of cybersecurity training courses and materials.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to the nature of work and eligibility for security clearances.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a cybersecurity engineering or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and industry best practices.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or VirtualBox.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Node.js, Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and architectures.
• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP or CEH, are preferred.
• US citizenship is required due to the nature of work and eligibility for security clearances.
