Customer Success Accountant

CounselFi is a leading all-in-one finance solution that specializes in providing financial advisory and bookkeeping services to small and medium-sized businesses. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Success Accountant. In this role, you will be organizing all of the onboarding docs for new clients as well as the initial accounting and finance plan and bookkeeping cleanup before handing off the client to the ongoing accounting relationship team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for onboarding clients and transitioning them from the Sales Team to the Client Services Delivery Team
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their backup point of contact for all accounting-related matters
• Provide timely and accurate accounting support and advice to clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Reconcile financial transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified
• Work with the Account Managers to ensure all projects and tasks are being completed in a timely and correct manner
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting services
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices to provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or financial analysis
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting regulations
• Proficient in using accounting software and modern financial tools
• Proficient in Quickbooks Online and Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
