Our team of branding, creative, website, and marketing experts use a strategic, human-centered approach to help clients achieve their business goals. We proudly serve clients across education, health, and technology sectors, striving to make the world a better place through our work.

Specifically, we’re looking for a Creative Director who will lead and inspire our team of creatives, reporting to the CEO and working closely with our Art Directors and Lead Developers. This role will oversee all creative projects, from initial concept to final execution, ensuring a cohesive vision and high standards across visual design, web design and development, and video production.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned creative professional with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering exceptional design work that meets business objectives. They should possess excellent communication skills, able to translate client goals into actionable initiatives, communicating across teammates, vendors, and departments both internal and external. They need a passion for visual storytelling, and the ability to articulate and defend their creative vision. Experience in UI/UX, video production, and branding is essential and should be backed by a strong understanding of the creative process from start to finish.

Day to Day

In a typical week, you will:

  • Lead and manage the creative team, providing guidance and mentorship to foster growth and development.
  • Develop and present creative concepts and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Guide projects from start to finish, identifying the appropriate approach, budget, and team, along with providing direction and overseeing the execution of the project plan through key milestones.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate creative solutions into overall project strategies.
  • Hold the team to a standard of excellence, ensuring quality and consistency across a mix of branding, marketing, video, and digital projects.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, project kickoffs, and one-on-one sessions with the CEO or team managers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we believe you’ll need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field (or comparable experience and portfolio)
  • Experience: 7-10 years of career experience with at least three years in a leadership role; agency experience preferred
  • References: 2-3 strong references who can vouch for your performance
  • Proficiency with major applications like Creative Cloud and Figma
  • Extensive experience in branding, marketing, web design, and video production
  • Experience working in the tech, education, or health sectors is beneficial
  • Understanding of web processes and standards preferred
  • Ability to effectively present and defend creative work
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a casual, independent environment and juggle multiple projects
