The Opportunity
We’re the creator of BetterSleep: the app that has helped more than 65 million people sleep and feel better across the globe. The app features a tool to track and record your sleep, over 100 ambient sounds, relaxing music, guided meditations and sleep stories, all available in over 6 different languages! Our mission is to help people change their lives with a better night's sleep.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a copy editor to join our team as a contractor and edit 1-2 blog posts on a monthly basis. The ideal candidate would have professional copy editing experience and formal studies in writing are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Capacity to edit 1-2 blog posts on a monthly basis
- Edit and proofread copy as needed
- Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach
- Source images and other content
Requirements
- Studies in writing (Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, English, journalism, etc)
- Ensure that content adheres to the in-house style guide
- Proven work experience as a Copy Editor or similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Time management skills
- Proficient in Google Suite
