Contract Writer, Remote

Job description

The SEO Writer is a Contract position that will manage multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with the management team to publish consistent top-tier quality at volume to our sites that is both SEO-and User-Friendly.

NOTE: AI or copywritten content will be tested and immediately rejected. This position requires manually written and original content only.

Responsibilities

• Write content that utilizes SEO best practices and written well for humans
• Ensure content is user friendly, factualy accurate, and goal optimized
• Be able to write quality content at scale
• Ensure published content employs best practices for web content and adheres to company style guidelines
• Meet weekly content production quotas as defined by Manager
• Maintain a high awareness of relevant trending topics and news to identify new content topics and share with the team
• Work autonomously, driving tasks to completion with minimal supervision

Skills and Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in research and web writing
• Superior command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Advanced writing and editing skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices (keyword research, on-page optimization, interlinking, etc.)
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities effectively
• High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Keyword research: 2 years (Required)
• Web Writing: 5 years (Required)
