LOCATION: Remote (USA)
COMPENSATION: $75K-$92K annually
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Content Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy to enhance Meteor Education’s brand presence in the education industry. This role will be responsible for creating and managing a robust set of content that will include items such as thought leadership pieces, webinars or virtual symposia, and customer case studies, within a communications calendar that aligns with our marketing and business objectives. The Content Marketing Manager will spearhead the strategy for creating content that appeals to our target audiences and can be repurposed for a wide set of communication channels. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B marketing and content strategy and a deep understanding of the education sector, allowing them to effectively connect with our audience of school administrators, educators, and industry leaders.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy & Production
· Lead the development and execution of a content marketing strategy that supports the overall marketing objectives and brand initiatives.
· Create high-quality thought leadership content (e.g. articles, whitepapers, case studies) that establishes Meteor Education as an industry leader in K12 education solutions.
· Build and maintain an organized communications calendar that aligns content production with marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.
· Manage relationships with external content producers, copywriters, internal SMEs, or agencies when necessary to deliver high-quality content on time and within budget.
Brand Consistency & Leadership
· Ensure all content adheres to Meteor Education’s brand voice and style guidelines.
· Act as a brand steward by maintaining consistency in messaging across all content formats.
· Support the Director of Brand and Communications in driving the overarching content strategy and ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
Multi-faceted Content and Customer Storytelling
· Own the creation of a template for case studies and voice of customer content, and coordinate within Marketing and broader teams to develop and maintain a repository of these items.
· Develop a matrix of content needs mapped to target audiences, locations, and services, and work to identify gaps and collaborate on priority list and action plans.
· Collaborate within the broader marketing team to repurpose and distribute content across social media, web, email, and other relevant channels.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
· 5-8 years of experience in content marketing, with at least 3 years in a B2B environment.
· Demonstrated experience in the education industry, with an understanding of K12 education challenges and trends.
· Strong portfolio of writing and other content samples.
Skills and Abilities
· Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and creating compelling narratives.
· Experience with content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices.
· Familiarity and comfort with Al tools
· Knowledge of webinar platforms and marketing automation tools is a plus.
· A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
