Full Job Description
Walnut Way Conservation Corp. is looking for a detail-oriented Claims Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing claims related to community services and programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our organizational standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. You will play a vital role in supporting our mission by facilitating claims processing and providing exceptional service to claimants, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate claims applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines.
- Communicate with clients, community members, and internal teams to gather necessary information for claim processing.
- Process claims in a timely manner, documenting all proceedings and maintaining organized records.
- Investigate discrepancies to resolve issues effectively and provide recommendations for claim outcomes.
- Prepare and generate reports on claims status and trends to inform management decisions.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and policies affecting claims processing.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns regarding claims efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive service delivery and support organizational initiatives.

Requirements
- Previous experience in claims processing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with claims management software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of nonprofit operations and community service programs is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
