Position Description
At PrePass we expect that a key to growth is having a high-performing channel sales team. That’s why we’re seeking a qualified Channel Development Specialist (CDS) to support, develop, recruit and expand channel partners who market our products and services. As the first line of communication with key partners, ideal CDRs: have a strong understanding of the sales process and our value proposition; are adept at developing and fostering productive relationships and can deliver a world-class experience to our Partners. You should be a quick learner with strong communication skills, adaptable to multitasking, and possess the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every partner presents an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition, and profitability.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leveraging your subject matter expertise regarding the sales process, represent PrePass with strategic partners and assist their distribution efforts. Incorporate our value proposition in every interaction with partners to drive top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition, and profitability
- Build and maintain partner relationships and continuous trust and credibility by serving as a a primary point of contact for escalation of customer concerns, product questions, operational requests, sales questions, discovery, and customer qualification.
- Identify Partner needs and communicate trends and provide recommendations to internal leadership and key stakeholders. Active partner in developing solutions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Partners and our customer care and sales teams (as necessary) to ensure the Partners and our sales prospects are handled expediently. Oversee pending items through resolution.
- Oversee the operational management of the Partner Sales Channel – through reporting needs, ensure reconciliation of leads, and responsible for oversight of the Partner landing pages.
- Incorporate the PrePass “Go-To-Market” strategy and ensure primary Partners are aligned with the strategy.
- Incorporate marketing campaigns with the partners to generate new sales opportunities by communicating the campaigns and implementing adoption strategies.
- Collaborate with Partners to qualify a prospect's needs and strategically suggest appropriate products/services that align with needs.
- Active participant in the acquisition of new PrePass Partners through prospecting, networking and referrals
- Set up meetings, demonstrations, and strategy sessions between (prospective) customers, sales, partners and channel leadership to advance the acquisition of new Partners, help Partners close new business, and advance the visibility and awareness of PrePass in the Channel
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or 5+ years of relevant work experience selling transportation, telematics, or wireless mobility solutions
- Experience in Channel Sales or channel sales support operations, with a history of exceeding targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding proven relationship management skills
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Travel for Partner conferences or operational and strategy meetings a few times per year should be expected
Preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics, and/or other CRM software; and MS Office
- Prior experience in direct sales of transportation, telematics, wireless mobility solutions
