Duration: 12 month contract (Outside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully Remote, USA

I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Head of Business Development and Commercial to join my client, a global CDMO. The ideal candidate will have experience in Business Development, Commercial and have a vast network within Biotech's and Pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue within the life science industry.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities for growth.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions, to drive expansion and revenue growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders within the life science sector. Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Commercialization Strategy: Develop and execute commercialization strategies for new products, services, and technologies within the life science division.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and profitability goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including R&D, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with overall company objectives.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with new business ventures, partnerships, and commercialization efforts
