Job Description
NuvoLogic Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to support the development of a suite of customized Salesforce applications in partnership with USDA Rural Utilities Services (RUS) stakeholders and third-party developers across multiple teams. The Business Analyst will support RUS in development efforts for application intake/application review/servicing to aid in the transformation underway that will modernize and streamline the loan/grant program delivery to rural communities. The Business Analyst will facilitate requirements that will be expanded to support enterprise level solutions in loan applications, underwriting/servicing and related functions, as needed. This role utilizes the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) to support development and enhancements of SalesForce applications.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborates with the client and team(s) to provide system requirement refinement, backlog grooming support, and user story confirmation, assisting with development of User Story Development Reports, User Stories Review Documents, User Story Acceptance Reports, and Backlog Prioritization Reports
- Consult on the user stories and their utilization in the Sprints and across the Program Increment.
- Collaborates with team on UAT test scenarios, develops test scripts, and conducts testing and verification activities for delivered capabilities both within sprints and as needed for major releases and sub-releases.
- Monitor and participate in the development of user acceptance criteria.
- Work with USDA team(s) to assist in defining the Epics, Features and the User Stories that will be utilized by the development team to build the solution.
- Provide a clear understanding of the value user stories are providing from the perspective of the applicant.
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing of the solution as requested.
- Help develop and at times presents communications, presentations, and project documentation and artifacts for team members and the client.
- Assist in training and standards development in consultation with Agile coaches, the internal project team, the development teams, and federal leaders and SMEs
- Support the product manager and federal/internal stakeholders on project reporting and deliverables
- Capture notes and facilitates discussions with business users to capture business requirements to understand, define, document, and disseminate pain points and opportunities pertaining to business process, information, and capability (software) issues.
- Participate in project meetings to collect data and information as required to fulfill the requirements within this scope of work.
- Assists in maintaining project deadlines and schedules.
- Develop and produce ad hoc reports and analyses, as needed.
- Utilize management and planning tools including JIRA/Trello, MS Project, and/or Confluence
- Utilize presentation, visualization, and workshopping tools including MS PowerPoint, Visio, and/or Figma (flow diagrams, wireframes) or Mural
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and experience supporting process redefinition and the development, testing, and implementation of bespoke technology solutions
- Strong familiarity and hands on experience as a Business Analyst supporting SDLC projects
- 4+ years working on large-scale IT projects with multiple teams
- 3+ years communicating and interfacing with federal government clients and development teams
- Experience using common Enterprise Agile Planning tools such as Jira/Confluence
- Experience with implementation, testing and reporting of Salesforce applications
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills (including presentation skills)
- Proficiency with MS Office (including Visio and Project) and SharePoint
- U.S. citizenship (our work with the federal government limits us to hiring only U.S. citizens)
An exceptional candidate would also have one or more of the following desirable qualifications:
- Active Public Trust clearance
- Demonstrated proficiency with Agile frameworks, SAFe preferred
- Experience supporting application development in Salesforce
- Understanding of broadband policy and financial analysis
- Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a plus
