About the Role
Our client is seeking a mid-level illustrator to design a compelling cover for their debut fiction novel. This remote opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a meaningful personal project, helping to bring the author's vision to life as they prepare for their first book publication. The project requires a creative and skilled illustrator who can capture the essence of the story in a visually striking cover design.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the author to understand the novel's themes, tone, and key elements
- Develop concept sketches and present initial ideas for the book cover
- Create a unique and eye-catching illustration that effectively represents the novel's content and appeals to the target audience
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from the author to refine the design
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mid-level illustrator, preferably with book cover design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of illustration styles and ability to convey complex themes visually
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and illustration software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely
