This position is accountable for the timely and compliant billing of customer orders to federal, state and commercial insurance plans, and privately when no funding is available. This position will also focus on minimizing bad debt and continuous improvement of cash flow. This position will work side-by-side with Revenue Cycle Leadership to improve the overall process in addition to collaborating with the customer support team in obtaining consistent process improvement based on the actual workflow.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ensure critical data is entered into the orders appropriately to obtain proper reimbursement from various funding sources through use of the Patient Management Billings System - Bonafide.
- Communicate issues causing billing delays to the appropriate teams to allow for improvement and overall faster claims processing.
- Interact with clients to resolve any billing issues and answer questions they may have pertaining to claims and invoices.
- Ensure insurance billings are current and within the established timeframe specified in the department policy.
- Assure all billing-related policies and procedures are understood, up to date, and adhered to.
- Review and complete daily /weekly reports to achieve billing goals.
- When requested, assist in the development of training materials that will be shared across functions.
- Advise if specific receivables are to be qualified as refunds, adjustments or write-offs.

- Information regarding a patient of this company shall not be released to any source outside of this company without the signed permission of the patient. Furthermore, information will only be released internally on a need-to-know basis. All Team Members will not discuss patient cases outside the office or with anyone not employed by this company unless they are directly involved with the patient’s case.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred or six years equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in the medical billing field
- Strong background in federal and state laws and requirements relating to Healthcare policy
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Preferred:
- Has worked in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Bonafide
- Experience with Salesforce
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Indoor open office environment or remote
- Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment
- Extended hours when needed

Salary: Annualized between $72,000 and $82,000. Depending on experience and location.
