About the Organization
The Momentus Capital branded family of organizations - which includes Capital Impact Partners, CDC Small Business Finance, and Ventures Lending Technologies - is transforming how capital and investments flow into communities to provide people access to the capital and opportunities they deserve. We are working to reinvent traditional financial systems that have failed to address systemic issues of inequality, economic empowerment, and the widening racial wealth gap by offering a continuum of financial, knowledge, and social capital to help local leaders build inclusive and equitable communities and create generational wealth. This includes a comprehensive package of loan products, impact investment opportunities, training and business advising programs, and technology services that advance locally-led solutions. Our suite of products and services, experience, and scope will foster equitable job creation, wealth building, and economic mobility.
Position Summary
The Associate Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting the Small Business Lending Credit Team (Relationship Managers, Lead Relationship Manager, Underwriting Manager), by doing initial review of prequalified loan files, and entering pertinent information using the organization’s underwriting software. Candidates will assure the sales team is providing complete and well organized files, and will be working with the Loan Officers to collect any missing information. The Associate Relationship Manager will be responsible for identifying ‘Red Flags’ within the loan file and setting up the assigned RM for a successful underwriting of said files.
The Associate will also assist with the drafting of Credit Amendments and NAC’s (No-adverse Change). This will require inputting updated information from previously approved or funded loans into Ventures, and preparing documents for final review and analysis by the assigned RM.
Over time, it is the expectation that the Associate Relationship Manager will begin to establish strong credit analysis skills and understanding, that will allow them to begin to underwrite less complicated and smaller loans. Candidates will work closely with the Underwriting Manager, Relationship Manager Team Lead, and Senior Relationship Managers on pipeline management and sales skills training, as well as to ensure that credit memos are complete and accurate.
This position works closely with small business entrepreneurs as well as CDC Loan Officers, File Managers and Funding Analysts, aiding in effectively managing the overall loan process that yields loan approvals and fundings.
