Associate, Political Innovation

About the Role 

Movement Labs’ Incubator team seeks a junior-mid level organizing professional to join our team. This role focuses on outreach efforts to media groups, working closely with the Rural Radio team to complete radio ad buys, and will pivot to supporting additional organizing projects upon completion. 

Radio program outreach work focuses on direct communication with radio stations and sales representatives, tracking payments, and other duties as assigned. Additional project responsibilities include implementing political innovation ideas that involve contacting and organizing humans in digital communities, with potential in- person work in battleground states

Responsibilities:

This exciting experimental project is moving at a fast pace. We’re looking for associates who are ready to jump in, meet goals in a timely manner, and are comfortable pivoting quickly. 

• Deal with ambiguity when building and maintaining relationships with radio stations in the Battleground States assigned to you
• Be held accountable to your outreach and organizing goals
• Stay up to date on outreach reporting and tracking to ensure seamless communication and organizational flow
• Communicate questions, needs and updates in a timely fashion with your manager
• Be ready to pivot or change trajectories based on team-wide needs
• Collaborate with other teams to execute organizing programs

Requirements

Requirements

• At least one cycle of organizing experience organizing at a progressive organization or campaign, ideally having served as a Field Organizer

• Experience working in a customer service role that was outward facing

• Tech-savvy and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, our core tech tools: Slack, Google Workspace

• Well organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple competing priorities in a remote work setting

• Passionate about Movement Labs which aims to build progressive power and fight fascism

Benefits

Pay will be $60,000 a year, depending on experience. Ideal start date for this position is September 16, 2024, with some flexibility for the right candidate. We are looking for someone committed to contributing to Movement Labs at least through the 2024 cycle, with the possibility to stay on the team longer.
