The role
As an Associate Director, Market Access Writer with Prime-Aventine you will primarily be responsible for the development of Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) formulary submission dossiers and preapproval decks across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
Prime-Aventine specializes in dossier and other market access communications. We have forged long standing relationships with our pharmaceutical company clients on the basis of our high-quality work, expertise and responsive professional accountability. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in US market access as well as medical writing.
Please note that whilst this position is advertised as full time we would consider applications for part time working.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, edit, and review US formulary submission (AMCP) dossiers, abstracts/posters, slide decks and other payer-focus written communications
- Perform literature searches and assess strength/relevance of clinical and economic data for specific pharmaceutical products, therapeutic class competitors and disease state background
- Synthesize a product’s value on the US market and its place in therapy for a US payer audience
- Develop market access slides decks and basic graphics in PowerPoint
- Support all written work with primary source citations and annotate
- Manage workload to meet timelines within a 40-hour work week
- Participate in conference calls and in-person meetings internally and externally with clients as required
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years market access and medical writing experience, preferably a pharmacist
- Excellent written communication skills in (US) English and AMA style
- Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with internal team members and clients
- Attention to detail and an ability to maintain accuracy throughout a full document/project
- Ability to see the big picture: succinctly summarize large volumes of data for bottom-line messages
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Clarivate EndNote, and PubMed
