Application Developer

Job Overview:

Hummingbirds Innovations is seeking an Application Developer to join our team. As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications for our clients. You will work closely with business stakeholders and other members of the development team to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.

·         Full-time professional work experience in the development and support of Information Technology applications.

·         ITD is implementing AASHTOWare Project Materials (AWP) and Construction Modules.  We seek a team member to develop agency views within AWP.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Designing and developing scalable and efficient applications
• Writing clean and maintainable code
• Performing unit testing and debugging to ensure the functionality of the applications
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other developers
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously and managing priorities
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technologies

Requirements

·         Successful completion of an Information Technology Certification program, accredited college and/or graduate training may substitute for the required work experience.

·         Anticipated tasks will include refining a variety of ITD construction data sets including construction materials, laboratory and field test methods, lab equipment, acceptance criteria, vendors, sources, and mix designs. Those data sets will be integrated with pay item acceptance requirements and reporting. 

·         The work will include programming ITD-specific agency views in C# and Python along with ActiveReports (GrapeCity) and integrating API interfaces. Successful candidate will be integrated into an existing team with our AWP vendor and ITD construction materials staff. 

·         The developer will often work independently to develop AWP agency views based on existing ITD forms, test methods and reports.
