About the Role

A client is seeking a proficient freelancer with mid-level skills in anime-style animation for a personal project titled "Monster Music Video." This project involves creating and executing anime-style animation for a music video. The position offers the potential for follow-up work, and remote work is allowed and appreciated. The project timeframe is projected to be more than a week, with a delivery expectation within a month. A budget of $800 to $1200 has been established for this phase of the project.

Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize and develop anime-style character designs, backgrounds, and storyboards for the "Monster Music Video" project.
2. Create smooth and expressive animations for the characters, adhering to the desired anime-style aesthetic.
3. Animate character movements, expressions, and lip-syncing to match the music's tempo and lyrics.
4. Collaborate with the client to understand the project's vision, artistic direction, and specific requirements.
5. Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to the animations as required.
6. Ensure consistent quality and adherence to the established art style throughout the animation process.
7. Utilize industry-standard 2D animation software and techniques to create high-quality animations.
8. Meet deadlines and deliver the completed "Monster Music Video" animation within the specified timeframe.

Requirements

1. Mid-level experience in 2D animation, with a strong focus on anime-inspired styles.
2. Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, TV Paint).
3. Strong understanding of animation principles, such as timing, spacing, and character acting.
4. Ability to create fluid and expressive character movements and expressions.
5. Familiarity with digital painting, color theory, and background design.
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work independently and remotely, while maintaining effective communication with the client.
8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
9. Passion for animation and a willingness to learn and grow as an artist.
10. Availability to deliver the completed project within the specified one-month timeframe.
