Ambulance Driver - Surgical Center

Chicago Cornea Consultants, LTD is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Ambulance Driver to join our team. As a leading ophthalmology practice, we are committed to providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. As an Ambulance Driver, you will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from our practice locations. Your professionalism, excellent driving skills, and ability to provide compassionate patient care will contribute to our goal of delivering the highest standard of quality care.

This position is for a full-time Ambulance Driver who can demonstrate the necessary skills and qualifications to provide safe and efficient transportation for our patients. Experience in emergency medical services (EMS) or as an ambulance driver is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate an ambulance safely. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the Ambulance Driver will interact and communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an ambulance to transport patients to and from our practice locations
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of patients and other road users
• Assist with patient entry and exit from the ambulance, ensuring their comfort and safety
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient patient transport
• Maintain ambulance cleanliness and readiness for emergencies
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the ambulance to ensure its proper functioning
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience as an ambulance driver or in emergency medical services (EMS) preferred
• Strong driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to safely operate an ambulance and handle emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry patients when necessary
