Full Job Description

The Agile Coach at The Willows Communications is responsible for guiding teams and the organization in adopting Agile methodologies to improve performance, collaboration, and productivity. This position requires a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices to mentor teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teams in the implementation and optimization of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to enhance project delivery and team dynamics.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to teams, leaders, and stakeholders in Agile methodologies, facilitating understanding and embracing of Agile values and principles.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching to strengthen Agile practices across all levels of the organization.
  • Evaluate team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans to enhance collaboration, communication, and workflow.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure they are effective and productive.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to experiment, learn, and adapt their processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align Agile transformation initiatives with business objectives and strategy.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and remove impediments to Agile adoption.
  • Act as a change agent by advocating for Agile principles and practices at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging Agile methodologies to effectively coach teams on innovative practices.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile coaching, with a proven track record of successful Agile transformations.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices, and their application in various team environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to assess team dynamics and guide them through their Agile journey.
    • Proficient in Agile project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a mindset of continuous improvement.
    • Flexibility to adapt coaching styles and methods to meet the needs of various teams and individuals.
    • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
    • Passion for Agile methodologies and driving organizational change.
