What We're Looking For

The ADABAS/NaturalOne/Construct Sr. Analyst-Programmer will play a key role in uncovering and documenting leading business rules and supporting new functionality that are essential for the success for the migration to the cloud of a legacy HR/Payroll solution.

Position Overview

The ADABAS/Natural/Construct Sr. Analyst-Programmer will play a key role in uncovering and documenting leading business rules and supporting new functionality that are essential for the success of the migration to the cloud of a legacy HR/Payroll solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Legacy Natural Code: Review and analyze existing Natural, Natural One and Natural Construct source code to understand the logic and functionality of the application
• Examine ADABAS Databases: Evaluate the structure and data within ADABAS databases to identify relationships and dependencies
• Documentation: Document and map the existing business rules, data flows, and dependencies within the Natural applications and ADABAS databases
• Reverse Engineering: Use reverse engineering techniques and tools to understand and capture undocumented business logic and rules from the legacy code
• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other team members to gather requirements and insights on business rules

Requirements

• Proven experience as an ADABAS/NaturalOne/Construct Sr. Analyst and Programmer with sound knowledge of Natural One programming Construct.
• Expertise in working with ADABAS databases
• Experience with HR and Payroll systems
• Experience with IBM mainframe
• Excellent documentation skills and the ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex, undocumented business rules.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
• Experience with legacy system modernization projects is advantageous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
