We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations and drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Manager will supervise the accounts payable team, develop policies and procedures, and ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. You will play a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and optimizing the overall accounts payable process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures to optimize workflow.
  • Review and authorize payment batches, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Manage vendor relationships, addressing any issues or concerns to facilitate better communication and service delivery.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable metrics and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop training programs for accounts payable staff to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Collaborate with the finance team during month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries regarding accounts payable records.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable management, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with vendors and team members.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
