This role will support the Director of Financial Systems and Implementations in overseeing implementation projects, collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project scope, develop timelines, and ensure successful execution. Your strategic mindset and strong project management skills will be essential in identifying opportunities for process optimization, driving efficiency, and delivering exceptional client experiences. Additionally, you will provide leadership to senior and staff accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Finally, you'll be pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition to our monthly-recurring accounting team, working closely with software solutions like Bill.com, Fathom, and Expensify.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and organize the client onboarding experience; provide excellent project management
  • Client management - understanding their situation and goals to provide relevant and actionable recommendations
  • Suggest the best platforms to use & convert client accounting and payroll systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Lead and mentor others to reconcile and ensure the accuracy of clients' existing books and records.
  • Implement and integrate peripheral software to enhance clients' accounting processes.
  • Lead the team to produce month-end close work and financial statements for clients during the implementation phase.
  • Document procedures and policies for new clients and ensure a smooth transition to the monthly-recurring accounting team.
  • Evaluate and streamline processes to create efficiencies.
  • Foster the growth and development of Staff/Senior Accountants and junior team members through guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (REQUIRED)
  • Active CPA license issued by a state board of accountancy in the United States
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in tools like QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, NetSuite, and Excel

Compensation:

We're committed to fair pay, evaluating using national and industry-specific data. Compensation will factor in experience, skills, and external market rates. Targeted range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000 annually.
