About the Role

We are seeking an expert in 2D animation with an extensive professional background to collaborate on a long-term, ongoing personal project titled "Funky Clown." The desired animation style is cartoonish with big eyes, inspired by Looney Tunes but with a touch of realism in textures. This is a remote position with no rigid deadline, allowing the animator to take the necessary time to maintain high quality work. The ideal candidate should have a wealth of experience and expertise in 2D animation.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the creative vision and storytelling goals for the "Funky Clown" project.
• Develop and animate characters with cartoonish proportions, exaggerated expressions, and big eyes, taking inspiration from Looney Tunes.
• Incorporate realistic textures and elements into the animation to add depth and dimension.
• Create smooth, fluid animations that bring the characters and scenes to life.
• Collaborate with the filmmaker to ensure the animation aligns with the project's overall vision and narrative.
• Manage your own workflow and timeline, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to project milestones.
• Communicate regularly with the filmmaker regarding progress, challenges, and creative direction.
• Maintain an open mindset for feedback and revisions throughout the project's lifecycle.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in 2D animation, with a portfolio showcasing your expertise in character animation, storytelling, and animation principles.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software and tools (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, etc.).
• Strong understanding of character design, acting, and exaggerated expressions in the tradition of Looney Tunes.
• Ability to incorporate realistic textures and elements into cartoonish animations.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage your own workflow and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with the filmmaker.
• Ability to work independently and remotely on a long-term project.
• Flexibility to accommodate revisions and changes as the project progresses.
