About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented 2D animator with expertise in visual effects (VFX) to produce a short film project. The concept revolves around an anime-style rap battle, inspired by classic shonen action anime series like Naruto and Dragon Ball. This project is envisioned as a long-term engagement aimed at eventually developing a television series. The client is open to animators of varying experience levels and is willing to make a paid hire. The work can be done remotely, with no requirement for on-location work.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the client to understand the creative vision and overall concept for the "The Greatest of All Time" project.
- Design and animate characters, backgrounds, and environments that capture the anime-style aesthetic and the rap battle theme.
- Incorporate dynamic visual effects (VFX) to bring the rap battle sequences to life, including energy blasts, explosions, and other action-packed elements.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in 2D animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing anime-style character animation and action sequences.
- Proficiency in animation software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or similar tools.
- Experience in creating visual effects (VFX) for animation, including particle systems, compositing, and dynamic simulations.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and character acting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
