About the Role

A producer is commissioning an expert-level 2D animator with a specific focus on anime styles for a long-term, full-time personal project. The project involves creating a 2D animated series, and the animator will be responsible for bringing characters and scenes to life through their expertise in anime animation techniques. This is a remote position, allowing the animator to work from anywhere without being tied to a specific location. The producer is open to receiving offers for the project budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the producer to understand the creative vision and requirements for the animated series.
2. Design and create memorable anime-inspired characters, environments, and backgrounds.
3. Animate character movements, expressions, and actions with a high level of detail and fluidity.
4. Ensure consistency in character designs, movements, and overall visual style throughout the animated series.
5. Utilize industry-standard 2D animation software and techniques to produce high-quality animations.
6. Meet deadlines and deliver completed animated sequences according to the project timeline.
7. Incorporate feedback and make revisions to the animations as necessary.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in 2D anime animation.
9. Maintain open communication with the producer, providing regular progress updates and addressing any concerns or issues.

Requirements

1. Expert-level proficiency in 2D animation, with a strong focus and portfolio showcasing anime-inspired styles.
2. Extensive experience in creating fluid and expressive character animations with attention to detail.
3. In-depth knowledge of animation principles, timing, and character acting.
4. Familiarity with industry-standard 2D animation software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or similar tools.
5. Strong understanding of character design, storyboarding, and visual storytelling techniques.
6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
8. Passion for anime animation and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
9. Willingness to work on a long-term, full-time contract basis and provide a reasonable offer within the producer's budget constraints.
