Full Job Description
Sigma Defense is seeking a Technical Recruiter specializing in military recruitment who can find and attract highly skilled talent for our military programs and contracts.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and has a solid foundation in Talent Acquisition with a specialized focus on military personnel recruitment who can proactively develop and adjust strategic sourcing strategies and plans that will build an ongoing talent pipeline.
- The hired candidate will primarily focus on recruitment for military programs but may provide technical recruitments support to other divisions of the business as needed.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of Talent Acquisition experience is required, and a background in Human Resources and or prior experience recruiting technical roles is desired.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume demands and delivering quality candidates under strict deadlines and time constraints.
- Experience sourcing and hiring Veteran candidates for civilian roles. Prior experience hiring for Engineering, Software Development, DevOps, Security, Cybersecurity, and or other defense contract positions is desired.
- ATS (Applicant Tracking System) experience to include sourcing, engaging, and managing candidates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with hiring partners.
- Thorough understanding of active to civilian military transition, military service ranks and qualifications. Familiarity with service branches (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Space Force) is desired.
- Strong understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, with the ability to quickly adapt to changes and implement new processes and or methodologies. The hired candidate must have a strong work ethic with the ability to be creative, resourceful, and lead through challenging environments. Candidate must be hungry and have a sense of personal accountability.
- Thorough understanding and adherence to applicable policies, including state and federal, in compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
Provide support to the following departments hiring new or backfill indirect and direct labor positions, as well as RFP (Request for Proposal) opportunities:
- SDS AISR Programs
- SDS Air Force Programs
- SDS Tactical Relay
- SDS Army TENCAP
- SOL Training & Readiness
Provide recruitment support as needed to other department backfills, newly added, or RFP positions.
Source, evaluate, engage, interview, and present qualified candidates to the hiring team.
Conduct market and competitor research, gathering intel through prospective candidates.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for future contracts, proposals, and indirect labor positions.
Collaborate with hiring teams to understand the requirements of open positions.
Make recommendations on job descriptions, target markets, sourcing strategies and process improvements, and candidate outreach opportunities.
Leverage talent platforms to include Boolean searches for candidate sourcing, targeting specific markets, reports, data analytics, prospective candidate engagement, and building talent pipelines.
Support opportunities for future contracts by maintaining a presence in the military community and marketplace.
Virtually attend career fairs and military networking events.
Partner with Veteran organizations to lead program efforts for Veteran recruitment and placement opportunities, as well as community outreach activities.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study, but a Human Resources or technical degree is preferred.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Personnel Clearance Requirements:
- The position will not require an active DoD-issued security clearance but is desired.
Computer Programs/Software Experience:
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- SharePoint.
- Applicant Tracking System.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
