BioPharma Consulting JAD Group is seeking a dedicated Shipping and Customer Service Manager to play a crucial role in our logistics and customer relations team. You will work closely with various departments to streamline shipping processes and enhance service delivery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions:
- Accurately complete the pack out process, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed compliantly.
- Perform system transactions and ensure the timely and accurate order fulfillment, documentation, closure of outstanding issues and effective inventory system.
- Manage and communicate with the relevant carriers, building a strategic relationship.
- Comply with national and international shipping requirements in line with Trade Compliance, IATA, DOT and state requirements.
- Ensure safe handling and storage requirements are met whilst maintaining the required standards for cGMP/ISO, local & corporate policies, and environmental/other related regulations.
- Ensure all finished good stock creations and received and moved into correct refrigerator or freezers.
- Ensure the correct inventory levels are being managed for materials required for the pack out and shipping process.
- Perform cycle counting and inventory audits of the final product and cell bank storage units.
- Review and revise standard operating procedures as required to maintain compliance for the cGMP warehouse and its operations.
- At point of shipping, perform the relevant SAP transactions to consume the product to the correct project.
- Manage department metrics ensuring the defined ship on time target is being met (95%).
- Monthly report the Shipping Team dashboard metrics to Senior Supply Chain Management.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Program Management and QC to arrange shipments.
- Identify gaps and look for continuous improvements to create an efficient process.
- Respond to all refrigerator and or freezer alarms and make necessary material movements to ensure product is maintained within temperature specifications.
- Participate in internal and external audits and site Inspections.
- Ensure all shipments are in line with FDB’s and HLUS requirements for Trade Compliance.
- Manage capacity availability of all cold chain storage units.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Leadership skills.
- Qualified IATA and DOT for air and ground shipments.
- Knowledge of Trade Compliance requirements as well as import/export documentation & custom regulations.
- Working knowledge of ERP application software (SAP preferred).
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments with little supervision.
- Must be able work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as required
- Handle and work with hazardous materials and chemicals per OSHA guidelines
- Lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and up to 60 pounds with assistance.
- Work in cold temperatures.
- Operate a forklift.
- Work in high places.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the sciences or related field and at least (3) years warehousing, Supply Chain and or operations experience and (3) three years management or supervisor experience.
- Associates degree or a Biotech certificate from approved program, with at least (5) five years of warehousing, Supply Chain and or operations experience and (3) three years management or supervisor experience.
- High school diploma with at least (7) seven years of warehousing, Supply Chain and or operations experience and (3) three years management or supervisor experience.
