The Children's Refugee Shelter, in partnership with Teneo Linguistics Company, values the intricacies of orchestrating a seamless day-to-day experience for both our young refugees and our dedicated staff. We are in search of an astute Scheduler who can weave together the various threads of our direct care services into a harmonious tapestry of purposeful action.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, create, and manage staff schedules for all areas of direct care, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient allocation of resources.
- Liaise closely with department heads, such as Education, Recreation, and Youth Care, to understand specific staffing requirements and constraints.
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring minimal disruptions to services and optimal staff satisfaction.
- Update and modify schedules in real-time as unforeseen circumstances arise, such as absences, emergencies, or changes in daily routines.
- Monitor adherence to schedules, ensuring punctuality and accountability from all staff members.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to optimize the rostering process and facilitate effective communication of schedules to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR and management to understand staffing capacities, vacancies, and anticipated changes in workforce numbers.
- Provide regular reports and insights on staffing patterns, highlighting areas for potential improvement or efficiency gains.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in scheduling, workforce management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and tools.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, making quick yet informed decisions.
- Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish, is an advantage.
