THE COMPANY

GROTH Corporation has specialized in the oil and gas industries since we first opened for business in 1960. In the nearly 60 years since then, we’ve developed safety solutions for refineries and petrochemical tank facilities around the globe.

Upstream exploration, midstream transportation or downstream processing – no matter your industry, we have expertly engineered and tested safety products to protect every segment of your facility.

Continental Disc Corporation, LLC (“CDC”) designs and manufactures safety-critical products that protect pressure-containing vessels from catastrophic failure. CDC is headquartered in Liberty, Missouri (outside Kansas City), and Groth Corporation has manufacturing operations in Houston, Texas, and Ahmedabad, India with additional sales offices in India, the Netherlands and China. CDC benefits from one of the most recognized brands in its industry and a reputation for outstanding quality earned over its more than 55 years of operation. CDC’s customers include blue-chip companies in the chemicals, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, general industrial, aerospace, defense, food and beverage, municipal, and other markets globally.

CDC’s manufacturing operations are high-mix, low-volume. CDC’s rupture discs are made in Liberty and rely on precise metal-cutting, stamping, scoring, machining, and assembly operations. Destructive and non-destructive testing is critical to validate that every production lot meets the customer’s specification. Material quality and consistency are critical, requiring lot traceability. CDC’s valve products are made in Houston and India. CDC purchases steel and aluminum forgings from external suppliers and machines, assembles, configures, and tests to produce final products. CDC excels at serving the most demanding industries and quality requirements, including conformance with NADCAP, AS9100D, ISO9001, ATEX, ASME, ITAR, UL and other certifications and standards bodies. CDC also possesses two flow labs that allow CDC’s engineers to design and certify products internally, a significant barrier to entry.
