The Regional Manager of Operations will oversee all construction activities within a designated region, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will involve strategic planning, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive performance and growth.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with corporate goals and drive regional growth. Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to capture them.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor and manage all construction projects within the region, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and quality benchmarks.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for regional projects. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and financial targets are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on regional operations, project status, and financial performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.
  • OSHA 30 Certification is a plus.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of utility construction – HDD, aerial, and fiber pulling and splicing
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
