Full Job Description

We’re looking for an energetic and proactive Sales Representative who’s passionate about driving customer success through exceptional service. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively to ensure our clients receive the highest level of support, facilitating growth and success for both our customers and our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Process Mastery: Drive the sales process from start to finish by becoming a product expert, engaging prospects, identifying needs, presenting tailored solutions, closing deals, and providing diligent follow-up.
  • Customer-Focused Problem Solver: Respond to customer inquiries with urgency, investigating and resolving issues efficiently to provide seamless support.
  • In-Territory Presence: Travel within your assigned region to connect with new and existing clients, and support relationships through both in-person and virtual channels.
  • Price Quoting & Contracting: Accurately quote prices, establish credit terms, and prepare contracts to secure orders, ensuring clear and transparent communication with clients.
  • Product Delivery Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure products reach customers on schedule, aligning with Fortune's production and delivery plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with Sales Assistants to uphold high service standards, and collaborate with Purchasing and Operations to maintain adequate inventory for customer demands.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Manage customer data in our CRM, prepare reports on sales activities, and maintain organized records, including expenses.
  • Adaptability: Undertake additional tasks as needed, adapting to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced sales environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years in outside sales, ideally with perishable food products (seafood experience is a strong plus).
  • Education: Culinary certification and/or degree is beneficial, though not required.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional English verbal communication abilities to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong aptitude for data entry and arithmetic.
  • Personal Traits: Self-motivated, personable, quick to learn, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable with 25% local travel to meet clients in person.
