Adcetera is an integrated agency headquartered in Houston. We are looking to hire a Managing Director, Content Services. In this pivotal role, you will work under the Chief Creative Officer, guiding and enhancing our Content team. This team is responsible for delivering high-quality writing services across our diverse client portfolio and our internal marketing and communication efforts.
What We're Looking For:
- Leadership and Team Management: Experience in managing a content team, including hiring, performance reviews, and aligning team skills and output with the objectives of both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Exceptional Writing and Reviewing Skills: Strong writing abilities and an even stronger knack for reviewing and refining strategic and creative concepts, stories, and article ideas.
- Diverse Portfolio: Demonstrated success in creating strategic and creative content that showcases adaptability in style and subject, alongside expertise in digital marketing and writing for SEO.
- Presentation Skills: Confidence and capability in presenting, both to your team and to clients.
- Editing Expertise: Experience and knowledge in Chicago and AP style.
- Coaching Abilities: A talent for nurturing the team's growth and advancement in their skills with a goal-focused approach.
- Multifaceted Content Background: Experience in leading content creation for various platforms, including B2B communications and above the line campaigns (social media, outdoor, retail, video, digital experiences).
- Resource Allocation: Ability to balance and recommend staffing levels and align talent with clients/projects.
- Experience with in-house and outsourced team members: Familiarity with managing in-house teams and working with freelancers, external groups, or contracted specialists with experience and understanding of estimates and market values.
- Technological Agility: A passion for utilizing and embracing the latest tools, techniques, and technologies in content creation and workflow optimization. This includes a passion for AI tempered with a cautious sense of the legal and functional risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant marketing experience (agency or in-house).
- Proven background in content-team management.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creative delivery under tight deadlines, individually and as a team leader.
- Experience in a senior editorial role.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, creative services, or a related field.
