Full Job Description

General Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven 3PL Business Development Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the logistics industry and a passion for sales.

 

Duties and Responsibilities – others may be assigned

  • Identify and Prospect New Clients:
    • Research and identify potential clients in need of 3PL services.
    • Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and convert them into clients.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Understand client needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve service offerings and market positioning.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market feedback.

 

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Job Attributes:

·         Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Power BI (preferred)

Language Skills:

·      Ability to speak and communicate well with customers, vendors, and team members.

·      Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.

·      Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and software manuals.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, preferred
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Strong understanding of 3PL services and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
